To Define, Edit, and Delete a System Message

Follow these steps to define, edit, and delete a system message.
  1. From the Launchpad, click the Configuration icon ( ). Configuration options appear.
  2. Locate the Application group.
  3. Click Site Settings.
    The Site Configuration Settings page appears. For example,
  4. Expand the System Message topic.
  5. To create a new system message:
    1. Click Add new System Message ( ).
    2. Enter the text of the system message in the Text box.
    3. Select the Start Date for the message.
    4. Select the End Date for the message.
    The system message appears during each user's session, for the duration of the start to end dates.
  6. To edit a previously defined system message:
    1. Locate the message that you want to change.
    2. Edit the Text, Start Date, and End Date as needed.
    The system message is updated.
  7. To delete a system message, locate the message that you want to delete, and then
    1. Locate the message that you want to delete.
    2. Click Remove ( ). A confirmation dialog appears.
    3. Click Yes ( ).
    The system message is deleted.
  8. When you are finished, click Save Changes ( ).
